We provide three set trans-inclusion training sessions, suitable for a broad range of prior knowledge and experience with trans issues. We also offer bespoke training sessions, which can be tailored to your specific context (including trans-inclusive teaching & learning).

All training sessions can be delivered virtually or in-person.
An Introduction to Trans Inclusion
This training session provides an awareness of key issues relating to trans people and their experiences, as well as how to interact respectfully with trans people.
Duration: 60 minutes + optional Q&A time
It covers:
- What it means to be trans, including an introduction to the concepts of gender assigned at birth and self-identification of gender.
- Myths and misconceptions about trans people, and assumptions about gender identity.
- Trans people’s experiences including coming out and transition, harassment, and discrimination.
- Appropriate language and terminology to use when discussing trans people and trans issues.
- How to interact respectfully with trans individuals, including the use of pronouns & gendered language.
Scenarios within the training can be customised to your work, education, or community setting. The training is suitable for all audiences, including those with little to no prior knowledge. It can be delivered to groups of any size.
Price: £100 + optional Q&A time at £50 per half-hour + travel fee if applicable
Foundations of Trans Inclusion
This training session provides an understanding of the fundamental aspects of trans identity and experiences, as well as providing guidance on practical steps to improve trans inclusion in your work, education or community setting.
Duration: 90 minutes + optional Q&A time
It covers:
- An introduction to trans identity, including the concepts of gender assigned at birth, and self-identification of gender.
- Examples of diverse gender identities, including across history, cultures, and the animal kingdom.
- An exploration of societal assumptions about gender and how these impact trans people, including mis-gendering and gendered expectations.
- Trans people’s experiences including coming out and transition, transphobia, hate crime, harassment and discrimination.
- The national legal context, including trans people’s legal rights and challenges.
- Appropriate language and terminology to use when discussing trans people, trans identities, and trans experiences.
- Practical guidance on trans-inclusive practices, including gendered assumptions and the use of gendered language (including pronouns), trans visibility and consultation, facilitating gendered spaces, challenge and intervention.
Scenarios within the training can be customised to your work, education, or community setting. The training is suitable for all audiences, including those with little to no prior knowledge. It can be delivered to groups of any size, but interactive elements are present for groups of max. 50 people.
Price: £150 + optional Q&A time at £50 per half-hour + travel fee if applicable
Advancing Understanding of Trans Inclusion
This training session provides an opportunity to explore trans identity, experiences, and inclusion in-depth within the context of your work, education, or community setting.
Duration: 180 minutes
The informational content mirrors that of the Trans: Foundations training session, with additional facilitated exercises which provide space for those in attendance to question, discuss and develop ideas & practice specific to your setting, as well as to gain confidence through active engagement with the issues.
Scenarios and exercises within the training are tailored to your work, education, or community setting. The training is suitable for all audiences, including those with little to no prior knowledge. It can be delivered to groups of max. 50 people.
Price: £300 (includes advance consultation on bespoke elements) + travel fee if applicable
Bespoke Training Courses
Our bespoke training sessions offer an opportunity to tailor content in order to:
- Address specific issues currently of importance within your work, education or community setting.
- Discuss & develop trans-inclusive practice in a specific or specialised area (such as teaching & learning).
- Launch a new scheme, code, or programme within your work, education or community setting.
- Tailor the duration of the session, or split it across multiple sessions, to suit existing timetabled commitments.
- Customise the training to the intended audience’s level of knowledge, experience, and confidence with (or resistance to) trans inclusion.
Price: £100 per hour + customisation fee (on the basis of £50 per hour’s work) + travel fee if applicable
